House Radar privacy
Last updated October 12, 2026.
Your account
To use House Radar you sign in with Apple or with an email and password. We keep:
- your email address (or Apple's private relay address) and, if you give one, your name;
- a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password — never the password itself;
- the names and rooms you give your devices, so a new phone signed into the same account sees the same names.
This is stored on our sign-in server (hosted by Cloudflare). It is used only to sign you in and keep your names. We do not sell it, share it, use it for ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
What stays on your phone or in your house
- Bluetooth, motion and camera are used on the iPhone to find things and point the arrow. Nothing is recorded or sent.
- Quick scan of your Wi-Fi runs on the phone. Your network list is not sent to us.
- Your home base (an optional Mac you run at home) keeps your house's device list and search history on that Mac. The app talks to it over your own network. We do not receive it.
- Family finder uses Bluetooth between your family's phones in the house.
- AI name guesses are off unless you turn them on; when on, they run on the iPhone with Apple Intelligence.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account, saved names and sign-ins are removed from our server immediately. Removing the home base from your Mac removes its data.
Children
House Radar is not made for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
